Learning About Christopher Columbus!

Third graders listened to the book In 1492, learned a song about
Christopher Columbus sailing the ocean blue, and then watched
a BrainPOP clip about Columbus.  They then responded to the following
in their BrainPOP Journals.
                           1.   Write about one new thing you learned.
                            2.  Write about one good thing (pro) and one bad thing (con) that                                         happened because of Christopher Columbus.
Check in with a third grader to see how they responded and why!
They had a pretty amazing conversation and even learned a bit
about "The Columbian Exchange."

One statement in the clip was that "Christopher Columbus' voyage
may have possibly been the most important sea voyage in the
history of the world."
Ask a third grader why this might be true?

Third graders enjoyed a special Christopher Columbus
snack!  Apple boats complete with sails, little raisin men,
and fish in the ocean!
