Third graders are noticing some pretty neat patterns on this
month's calendar pieces. Especially amazing is the fact that they
are looking at mathematical expressions that involve more than one
operation (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and/or division) in order
explain the picture on the calendar piece. Third graders are beginning
to think about "order of operations."
Molly shares one of the calendar pieces with students and
asks them to think of an equation they could write that would
support the picture on the calendar piece.
