are found in granite! They observed pieces of
hornblende, calcite, feldspar, mica, and quartz
and tried to determine which
of the minerals were found in granite.

Engineer of the Week - Naomi!
Naomi is our first "Engineer of the Week"

Naomi shared her beautiful geodes, her "going home
from the hospital" onesie, her cozy first fleece
snowsuit, a corn husk doll she made, and several
photos. A favorite photo was one where she was
just learning to crawl and her tongue was sticking way
out - the old "If you stick your tongue out when you
concentrate, you can do much better!"
Naomi shared a favorite childhood book,
"Farewell to Shady Glade"

"Bulldozers push the raccoon and his friends from their home,
but they are able to find a new one after a terrifying train ride."
